It's a good idea to be in a class, even after you've completed a formal acting program and anytime in your career. Why? You get an opportunity to exercise your instrument, polish your actor tools, and maybe, just maybe, have a little fun! You will be a happier person, working on a good character in class when auditions slow down. Or maybe it's time to learn something new and jump into improv/sketch comedy, or brush up on your Spanish or Russian language that you learned in college...multilingual actors are in demand! There's something wonderful about going to a class, starting at the beginning, experiencing things for the first time. What you learn will make you a more interesting person and your new skills and knowledge will help bring you to a new level of performance. Choose a class wisely- ask friends and colleagues whose work you admire. Try to audit the class first to make sure your like the teacher and the experience. And if you're one of those actors who's been taking classes for many years, it might just be time to take a break and re-focus. Class is no substitute for a career.
